Jonathan Gash, the pen name of John Grant, is an English novelist renowned for his crime fiction, particularly the Lovejoy and Dr. Clare Burtonall series. A trained general practitioner and pathologist, he also served as a Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Gash headed the bacteriology department at the University of London's School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for 17 years. He resides near Colchester, Essex, England.
