Louise Rennison (1951-2016) was a British author and comedian known for her young adult series, "Confessions of Georgia Nicolson." She also performed live comedy shows, including "Stevie Wonder Felt My Face" and "Bob Marley’s Gardener Sold My Friend." Despite receiving criticism from some teachers and parents for her content, Rennison's novels were well-received by her young audience.

Louise Rennison's series follows the humorous and chaotic life of teenage protagonist Georgia Nicolson. In "It's OK, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers," also known as "On the Bright Side I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God," Georgia navigates her relationship with the popular Robbie. The sequel, "...And That's When It Fell Off in My Hand," or "Away Laughing on a Fast Camel," continues her misadventures. "Love is a Many Trousered Thing," also titled "Luuurve is a Many Trousered Thing," delves deeper into her romantic entanglements.
