Robert Rotenberg is a Canadian author known for his mystery/thriller novels, including the Detective Greene series. He holds an English literature degree from the University of Toronto, a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Master’s in International Law from the London School of Economics. Additionally, Rotenberg is a practicing lawyer and a partner at Rotenberg Shidlowski Jesin.

In Robert Rotenberg's debut novel, "Old City Hall," the first installment of the Detective Greene series, Canada's most famous radio host, Kevin Brace, confesses to killing his wife, who is found stabbed to death in their condo's bathtub. Despite his confession, Brace refuses to speak, even to his lawyer, complicating the case. The investigation reveals the victim's struggles with alcoholism and uncovers mysterious fingerprints at the crime scene. A dramatic courtroom cross-examination further unravels the seemingly straightforward murder case, transforming it into a complex legal battle.
