She has received numerous accolades, including the Somerset Maugham Award for "I'm the King of the Castle" in 1971, the Whitbread Novel Award for "The Bird of Night" in 1972, and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize for "The Albatross" in 1972.
Susan Hill's picture book, originally titled "One Night at a Time" and also published as "Go Away Bad Dreams," addresses the theme of overcoming nightmares. Additionally, Hill co-edited "New Stories 5" with Isabel Quigly.
